Biotique Bio Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner - Review

Monday, June 29, 2015

Hey pretty faces! :D
It's almost evening now and I'm sitting surfing around internet on my laptop and of course checking out my blog's stats.
Like we all know a toner is a part of CTM routine. It's job is to maintain the pH levels of our skin. After using Gulabari rose water, it was time for a change.
I recently bought Biotique Bio Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner with Himalayan Waters. Cucumber is an astringent, best suited for oily and combination skin. My review will be on this today!

Price: Rs. 175/-

Quantity: 120 ml

Shelf Life: 3 years

This refreshing, pore tightening toner brings the complexion into perfect pH balance and helps keep skin in its purest state.
Organically pure and preservative free.
Dermatologist tested for safety.
No animal testing.

How to use:
Apply to cotton pads or washcloth and gently wipe over cleansed face and neck, morning and evening.

My Experience:
I like Biotique products because they are made of natural ingredients and are preservative free. After using its pineapple cleanser that was meant for my oily skin, I got a toner too which is for normal to oily skin. Best toners for oily skin are cucumber, green tea, tea tree etc. from which cucumber is an astringent which is stronger than a toner. A cucumber toner is beneficial for oily skin.

Biotique Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner comes packed in a cardboard. This toner comes in a usual translucent Biotique cylindrical bottle with dark green screw cap. Its quantity is visible from the bottle. There's a hole in the stopper to dispense the toner.

When I took out the toner in a cotton pad, it was a green coloured liquid which I found artificial. It smelled quite strong. I guess because of the natural herbs. It smells like a wild bitter berry. I ignored the smell and applied it. While applying, it feels a bit soapy and sticky but that was fine for me as long as it will control oil on my face. It stings eyes so be careful. After applying, I can see a flush of smoothness on my face. My face brightened up and my pores were rarely visible. It claimed to be a pore tightening toner but it didn't permanently reduced pores.
I felt a glow on my face. It was maybe because of cucumber that got along with my oily skin pretty well. It also cleansed out dirt on my face which a cleanser didn't do effectively. It controlled oil for few hours and after that my skin became oily again. Dry skinned ladies stay away from it. After using it regularly, my skin texture has become even and my face looks a lot cleaner. So far I'm happy with it and getting this toner was a right choice for me.

● Affordable toner and quantity is also adequate.
● Removes dirt away from face.
● It made my skin's texture fine and even.
● Preservative free : that means no parabens and other harmful chemicals.
● Made from natural ingredients like Cucumber, Peppermint oil, Dhania, Maju phal and Daru haldi.
● Reduces pores, but temporarily.

● Colour and smell seems strong and artificial.
● Controls oil for a shorter period of time.

Final Word: I would recommend this toner to all beauties with oily skin. This toner has got astringent properties suitable for oily skin. It's preservative free, natural and affordable. With regular usage it can improve your skin appearance. Though its smell is strong but if that doesn't bother you, then you should get it.
