Washing hair is a task we do everyday or at least twice a week and it may sound like an easy task but it's not always what it seems. What if you got to know that the way your washing your hair all these years is incorrect and wrong?
Only few people know the correct way to shampoo their hair. Overcoming common mistakes during hair wash can do wonders to your hair. In this post, I'll tell you the right way to wash your hair which I follow too and that made a difference to my hair, so keep reading on to know the steps:

1: First, comb/brush your hair well to avoid strangled hair during shampooing. Use a wide-toothed comb. Wet hair properly.

2: Mix your shampoo with one-third quantity of water and then apply it to your scalp. Never apply shampoo directly on your scalp.

3. After applying shampoo from root to tips, massage your scalp with fingers creating a lather. Avoid massaging or rubbing the tips as it can lead to split ends. Optionally, you can comb the hair with a wide-toothed comb.

4. Leave it on for 2-3 minutes. Now keep your head upside down and rinse hair until the water runs clear. If you had oil or dirt on your hair which is still left on hair, then give it a second wash.
Optional: Apply conditioner on damp hair if you have dry, frizzy or unmanageable hair. Apply from middle of hair to the tips and after leaving it for 2 minutes rinse it properly.

5. Try to detangle hair gently with your fingers and twist and cover your hair with preferably a cotton T-shirt or a soft towel.

That was the way I use to wash my hair and it was super easy too. You must've realized now your common mistakes made during your hair wash. Start implementing this today and you'll notice a good difference to your hair. :)
