Olay Natural White 3 in 1 Fairness Serum - ReviewMonday, August 17, 2015
Hello pretty girls! I've been kind of busy due to college and stuff so posting everyday is kind of getting impossible for me but I'll post every alternate day or two because I can't get enough of my blog.
Coming to today's review, it's on Olay Natural White 3 in 1 Fairness Serum. I've been using it for a month.
Price: Rs. 49 for 20 gm
Olay Natural White 3 in 1 Fairness Serum comes packed in a cardboard packaging. It's in a form of white tube with silver screw cap. As you can see the packaging is pretty simple. I liked its simplicity.
My Experience: I have something for day creams and specially those who target fairness but for me fairness means glowing skin and reduced tan. I always buy smaller packs just to see if it works or not. This fairness serum isn't exactly a serum but a cream with light consistency. It is peach colored and has an ayurvedic fragrance which lingers for a while.
Upon applying on face it spreads easily but takes time in blending. It doesn't leave a white cast but a glow and subtle dewy semi-matte look. It imparts a natural radiance to my skin which is long lasting. I would not recommend it on very humid days as it will make face greasy. I always make sure to set it with loose powder but it stays for 4 hours on my skin and after that I can feel the dullness and greasiness on my face. My face becomes oily within 2 hours of application. It claims to have UV protection but I can't fully trust it so I apply sunscreen beneath it. Coming to its fairness claim, it didn't do anything to make me fair but it gave my face a natural glow. It worked fine for oily skin and didn't cause me any breakouts. I can say that it's a good day cream for all skin types!
● Non greasy and light in texture.
● Imparts glow on face and gives a dewy finish.
● Doesn't cause breakouts.
● Will suit every skin type.
● Affordable and easily available in chemists and general stores.
● Makes face oily within 2 hours if you have oily skin.
● UV protection is mentioned but SPF isn't mentioned.
● Other ingredients not mentioned clearly.
Final Words: Summing up the pros and cons I would say that it's a good day cream that will suit every skin type and keeps skin moisturized and radiant. It didn't made me fair but gave my face a natural sheen which loved. You should try its smaller pack before buying the bigger one to see the difference!
