Livon Moroccan Silk Serum : Review

Tuesday, December 29, 2015

I was never into hair serums as I had normal to oily hair and was most of the time, frizz free. But it was the story of summers. Now it's winters and my hair becomes dry after washing. Conditioner and serum have become a necessity and I can't dare to go without them. Usage of hot water while washing hair is also one of the reasons which makes hair dry and lifeless so these days I'm using Livon Moroccan Silk Serum which is enriched with Moroccan oil. Let's see how it fared for me.

Price: 149/- for 30 ml

What does it claim?

How to use?

Ingredients:

Livon Moroccan Silk Serum comes in pink hued transparent bottle with a white pump dispenser. Packaging is one of the things that attracted me towards it. It looks too cute on the dressing table!

My Experience: After shampooing my hair and conditioning, I take one pump of this serum and rub it all over my damp hair. As I run fingers through my hair I find no tangle. Even when combed, hair becomes smooth and silky. Frizz is also controlled to an extent. This serum is very light in texture and has a tantalizing fragrance which stays for few minutes and after that it fades away. Due to its light texture, it isn't oily at all and in fact it gets absorbed in the hair.

I guess it won't help extremely dry hair for controlling frizz otherwise it's perfect for conditioning and detangling hair, It's a good option when you skip conditioner and acts like a leave-in conditioner. For normal and oily hair it's a boon! I love using it after every hair wash and it has become my favorite.

Pros:
  • Contains argan oil which is proved to be beneficial for hair.
  • Light, non oily in texture.
  • Conditions hair
  • Effective in detangling hair.
  • Has a lovely fragrance.
  • Reasonably priced.
Cons:
  • Might not be hydrating enough for very dry hair and may not control frizz up to the mark.

Final Word: You would've known by now how much I adore this serum. Besides its cute packaging, it also proved to be a good serum for its detangling, conditioning and oil free formula. Only con is that it doesn't control frizz for very dry hair types. Otherwise it's a must have!
