Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50+ : Review

Monday, February 01, 2016

Even if it's winter or a cloudy day, a sunscreen is always a must. It must be worn even when you're indoors, protected from sun rays. I guess everybody knows the importance of sunscreen and I need not to elaborate further! I'm using Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock in SPF 50 which I think is enough to protect me from the harsh sun. My review will be on this sunscreen today!

Price: Rs. 199/- for 30 ml (also available in bigger size)

What does it claim?

● Waterproof, sweatproof, resists rub-off
● Non-Comedogenic (won't clog pores)
● Oil free and PABA free

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock comes in a soft tube with a light blue screw cap. Product comes out easily by squeezing out. Due to its sleek size it's travel friendly.

My Experience: Its texture is thick and creamy and has a mild to non-existent smell. It spreads easily on face and after a massage it gets absorbed well.
It gives a matte finish with a hint of dewy-ness. My skin feels soft upon touching. Due to higher amount of SPF it imparts a white cast which fades away sooner. I take a generous amount of it and apply to my face and neck and then leave to absorb. As it's obvious, I apply it 20-30 minutes before going out.

It's definitely sweat proof and oil free but after few hours, my T zone starts getting oily. It doesn't feel heavy on skin at all. Oily and combination skinned beauties will find this apt. Its formula is different and unique from other sunblocks which is a thumbs up from me.

Pros:
● Light, non-greasy texture.
● Gives a matte finish
● Oil free
● Waterproof and sweat proof.
● PABA free which is a plus point.

Cons:
● T zone becomes shiny after few hours.
● May not be moisturizing for dry skinned beauties.

Final Word: After using it for couple of months, I like everything about it - it's oil free, waterproof, sweat proof and gives a matte look after application. It's good for every season as it has a higher SPF with broad spectrum. I recommend this!
