Coloressence Intense Liquid Lip Color - Rose Petal | Review

Monday, August 29, 2016

Hi sweetness. How you're doing? As you can see I changed my blog's theme and it gives my blog a neat look now. Do tell me if you face any glitch with my new theme. Anyway, after a long time I'm here with a review on a lipstick I've recently bought in my Aplava haul - Coloressence Intense Liquid Lip Color in Rose Petal.

Price: Rs. 350/- for 8 ml

What does it claim?
• Intense Long Lasting Creamy Lip Color Has A Smooth Texture And Glides Perfectly On The Lips.
• Its Highly Pigmented Formula Gives Long Lasting Matte Coverage.
• Texture Is Weightless On The Lips With No Hint Of Stickiness.

Coloressence Intense Liquid Lip Color Review
It comes in a sleek glass tube packaging with a black matte cap. It's so slim that it won't take up space in purse. Applicator is soft and thin and applies beautifully. All the details of this lipstick are written on the cardboard it comes wrapped in. It has a mild fragrance.

First I'll talk about the shade Rose Petal. It's a gorgeous and bright pink shade with blue undertones. The pigmentation is so intense that you'll need to lower it down a bit. It takes a minute to dry and till then any mistake while applying can be corrected.

This liquid lip color is creamy and gives a matte finish after drying. I wear it as a stain and it works perfectly. I use my finger while applying for a even finish. It will flatter almost every skin tone specially fair ones. It enhances my dusky skin too and
whenever I wear it I fetch compliments. 😄

Swatches

It becomes dry after an hour or two if I don't apply a lip balm underneath so it's a must. Also, if I rub my lips it flakes so lips must be prepped beforehand application. It survives meals and drinks but fades down with oily food. It's staying power is incredible as it stays for 4-5 hours easily when worn with full intensity. It requires a makeup remover to be completely removed. It leaves a pretty and even stain behind.

Pros:
• Lovely shade that suits majority of skin tones
• Give a matte finish
• Intense pigmentation with opaque coverage
• Staying power is good
• Leaves even stain behind

Cons:
• Dries out lips if applied without a lip balm
• Flakes off when lips are rubbed

Final Word: I was bit skeptical about this lip color's pigmentation and texture but to my surprise it came out pretty well. It settles into a matte finish soon and staying power is incredibly amazing. This shade is beautiful and will flatter every skin tone provided that a lip balm is to be applied underneath to fight dryness and flakiness. I'm looking forward to try other shades as well so it's recommended!

Rating: 4/5
